Transferring to Android

How to transfer recordings from your Howler to an Android phone.

Turn on Howler with the power button.
Set Howler to stream/transfer mode using the mode switch.
Connect Howler to the Android phone with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Android will identify Howler as a USB drive and show a notification of the new connection in the notification drawer.
Open the navigation drawer, expand the notification by pressing the icon and tap Explore. This will open the storage on the microSD card in the Howler.
Navigate to the folder Howler recordings and find the file you want to transfer to your Android phone.
Tap the icon to open the popup menu and select either Copy to or Move to.
Tap Internal storage in the card overlaid on the bottom of the screen.
Navigate to the folder you want to place your files in.
Tap Copy here or Move here and the file will be transferred.
- The time it takes to transfer the recording will depend on the file size. The longer a recording is, the larger the file will be. WAV files are also much larger than MP3 files.
After the transfer is complete you can eject Howler:
- Drag down from the top of the screen to open the navigation drawer.
- Expand the Howler notification by tapping the arrow-icon.
- Tap Eject to disconnect Howler. You can now safely remove the USB-C cable.
You’re done! You can now share your music with the world using the platform of your choice.

Insert the dongle into the Android phone.
Android will identify Howler as a USB drive and show a notification of the new connection in the notification drawer.

Navigate to the folder Howler recordings and find the file you want to transfer to your Android phone.
